On a side note, my interactions with the French Army were somewhat different. They seemed to have certain challenges, which I attributed to a language barrier and a distinct leadership style. However, the French soldiers worked hard and did their tasks without complaint. While I wouldn't readily want to enter battle with the French, I recognize their significant improvement since the reunification of Germany.
