Every time I return to Athens, I must visit the Old Athens Lunatic Asylum, now known as the Ridges. The Ridges served as a mental health facility from 1874 to 1993, treating patients including veterans, children, and violent criminals. Today, it houses the Kennedy Museum of Art and various other offices, classrooms, and storage spaces. However, it is best known for its connection to the infamous lobotomy procedure and various paranormal activities. Consider taking a lot of pictures to capture its eerie and captivating atmosphere.
